Please mark 6 August on your calendar for our annual Summer Picnic at River Mountain Ranch Spring Creek Park, a few miles outside of Boerne, Tx. The picnic will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm .  Paul and Rene Read were gracious enough to get the facility for us.  The facility has a pavilion, electricity, running water and restrooms.
 
We will have two meetups at the Walmart on Main Street in Boerne to caravan to the location.  The first meetup will be at approx 10:00 am for those that want to volunteer or show up early to the event.  The second will be at approx 10:30 for the final group to caravan to the site.  If you are running late and need us to wait for either time please call my cell 210-254-8313. 
 
Additionally, I will try to send out directions to the location, but I can tell you there are lots of turns to get there. 
 
There is a huge parking area, which we will use for a group picture.  Please register on the website if you plan to attend so we can plan enough food.  We will provide everything for the picnic which will include Hamburgers,  Hot Dogs, and Sausages, chips, dips and sides.  If you would like to bring a dessert or side dish, please feel free to do so.  The more food the merrier. 
 
We will also need volunteers to help serve the food and cook. So if you would like to help in any capacity, please let me know. Additionally, I would ask if you have any games, horse shoes, dominoes, etc that would be fun to play by all means bring them to the picnic.
 
 After the picnic we will need to clean the facility and then head off to Soda Pops in Boerne for the Hot Rod Cruise in.  We will need to let them know how many cars will be attending so they can reserve spots for us.  Therefore, it is important to register on the website.  I am sure I left something out, so if you can think of anything to help make the picnic a success please let me know. I will send another update on the picnic as it gets closer.
