Blindman’s Autocross Rules

The Alamo Area Corvette Club will be hosting our first Blindman’s Autocross Friday, March 28, 2025, located at Brutal Off Road, 4333 State Hwy, Bandera, TX at our Tailgate Party.

You will be using a golf cart on a set course lined with cones. The driver will need a navigator because they will be wearing a medical mask over their eyes. The navigator will be giving the driver directions for driving. When the golf cart hits a cone, it will add a second to the time for them to complete the course.

There will be three challenges for the navigator to do for them to deduct one second from their overall time for each point collected. One challenge will be for the navigator to toss three V Belts over a traffic cone from their seat in the golf cart, the next challenge will be for the navigator to toss three bean bags in an oil pan, also from their seat in the golf cart, and the third challenge, the navigator will be able to leave their seat in the golf cart after it has stopped to screw three nuts on three bolts. After screwing the nuts on the bolts, they will get back into the golf cart the driver will proceed to the finish line. The time for the run will be recorded and the number of cones hit will add one second for each cone hit added to the run, and the number of points from the activities will deduct one second off the time. Then we will have a final time for the team.

If at any time the officials deem excessive speed or dangerous activity by that team the golf cart will be shut off and that team will be disqualified and asked to leave the course.

We will have a plaque for first, second, and third place team for the fastest time needed to complete the course.
